One quiet morning, I woke up from a great sleep. The sky was all clear, and it was a beautiful sunny day. I ate breakfast, brushed my teeth and then packed my things to get ready for school. As I slipped on my shoes and flung open the door. I walked through the gate and a big yellow van suddenly stopped right in front of my house. A window opened, and the person inside threw me a gun and yelled, “No time to explain, get into the van!” It didn’t take me long to notice that the people inside the van were exactly identical to me!

I was shocked! So shocked that I wasn’t sure if it was all a dream. A person in the van opened the door and pushed me right into the van. “Help!” I screamed in a crying voice, but nobody heard me. The door slammed shut. The van’s engine started to roar like thunder, and a cloud of thick black dust was chasing after us. It felt like the van was driving at the speed of light. Soon, we stopped in front of a yellow house.

“I am James. And now get out!” shouted the driver.

“What do you want to do to me?” I asked after I finally got back my courage.

“We will tell you later,” the driver replied impatiently.

We went into the strange yellow house, and the driver opened a trapdoor. We all jumped inside. It was a bright and colourful room. A slightly older version of me was standing in the corner. It looked like he was the boss of the group. “Sit down,” he ordered to the other people. Then he turned to me. And greeted me nicely.

“You may have wondered why we all look like you. So I have some explaining to do. ” he said in a calm tone “We are the inhabitants of a distant planet called Transformatopia. And we have powers to transform into anything!”

And then all the people in the building transformed into their normal self. The driver was a plump alien with purple dyed fur while the others had yellow fur. He wore a broken red tie and had dirty high heeled shoes unlike the others without ties and with normal shoes.

“But what do you want me to do for you?” I asked curiously.

The boss replied “Somebody has stolen the crystal ball. The crystal ball gives our planet energy to work and can increase the power of its owner. If this ball isn’t on Transformatopia, we the inhabitants will lose all of our powers. And you are the chosen one who will save us.”

“Why is it me?” I asked curiously.

“Because our gods told us,” he answered.

Soon they all huddled back into the van. The boss pressed a button and the van turned into a spaceship.

“Off to Transformatopia” he yelled.

When we arrived at Transformatopia, the boss sent me out to look for clues. The planet was truly amazing, there were  green trees and beautiful parks. I looked and looked but I couldn’t find any clues. Suddenly, I tripped on a stone and landed in some thorny bushes. There was a piece of red cloth! From there I looked around and I could see some tracks made in the mud and some purple fur lying on the ground. Just then I spotted the crystal ball high in the trees. I went and took it off. My mission was complete! I went to the great palace and bowed in front of the boss, who was the king of the planet.

“Your majesty, I found the crystal ball and found who the thief was.” I said.

“You can tell me later at the ceremony.” the king answered.

That day at the ceremony, I announced “Dear citizens of Transformatopia, I have found the crystal ball and found the culprit. First of all the culprit had a red tie which was stuck in the bushes, he also had high heeled shoes which made tracks in the mud and he had purple fur which was left on the ground. So therefore the thief was James.” Everyone gasped.

“I have never hidden the ball into the tree” yelled James.

“I never told you that the ball was hidden in the tree.” I exclaimed. “You have just given us another reason that you are guilty.”

“Arh!” yelled James “How stupid of me!” Everyone bursted out laughing.

At the end of the ceremony the king came to me and said “Thank you for saving our planet. What do you want in return” Maybe I could get my own planet. Or maybe a flying car. But the king was such a nice alien.

“I don’t need anything,” I replied.

And then I arrived back home. Oh no! I missed school!
