A good chef often uses various ingredients to make delicious food.  A great artist can use many bottle caps to create beautiful art. Twenty-five students and three teachers make our class. All of us are special. Today, in my speech, I will talk about why diversity is so important in class. I have three reasons.

Firstly, diversity helps us to know the world better. People often say that the world is a small village. I think my class is a big world. In our class, people are from many countries with different cultural backgrounds. Diverse cultures contribute language skills, new ways of thinking, new knowledge, and experiences. What language do you speak at home? What festivals do you celebrate with your families and friends? These questions sound simple. But they allow us to think critically about our own beliefs. We can examine the world in fresh ways, not just on the map or from a book.

Secondly, diversity can improve our study skills. From my understanding, study is not only about gaining knowledge of academic subjects. It is also about discovering what we see and what we hear. For example, we all have different interests, like fishing, coding, or gaming. We can learn lots of things by talking to each other. These things may be the inspiration for something big. Besides, different interests allow us to stand out as unique individuals. It makes us develop our creative thinking and problem-solving ability. They are both essential parts of study.

Most importantly, diversity helps us to get ready for future life and work. We are in a class with a diverse range of opinions, thoughts, and cultural backgrounds. When doing a group project, we can work together by expressing different ideas. We can learn to appreciate others' views and the work done by our classmates. A good attitude towards diverse perspectives can also teach us how to work with our teammates socially. It helps us to become more open-minded. We will benefit from these skills in the future indeed.

In the end, different people, different personalities, and different dreams make our class not a simple glass vase. But a beautiful mosaic. Together, we are stronger, more creative, and more confident. It is the magic of diversity.
